The parent/guardian fully provides permission and both the parent/guardian and the student participant understand the responsibilities expected for participation in the Bentley University Overnight. We are aware that although Bentley University has agreed to serve as overnight host, neither the Office of Undergraduate Admission nor any other office or personnel of Bentley University will be physically present with the student participant after dinner time. Student participants will stay overnight in the residence hall of a current student who will serve as student host. While there are staff members available to respond to emergencies (e.g. resident advisor, hall director, campus police), no staff member will be providing constant supervision between dinner time and the next morning when scheduled event activities begin. We understand that visiting students, like enrolled students, are responsible for their behavior as adults within the Bentley belief system of treating others and property with respect and maintaining integrity and honesty. We release and hold harmless Bentley University, its trustees, employees, agents, organizers, participants, and persons providing transportation, from any and all liability, damage, and claim of any nature rising out of our participation in this event. In the case of an emergency, and if the parent/guardian cannot be reached, the parent/guardian authorizes and consents to the delivery of any medical treatment or other care to the student participant based on the judgment of the medical provider(s). High standards have been established for current students, staff, and faculty in this community, including high standards of personal conduct and behavior and the student participant agrees to adhere to the same standards. We are aware that participants in on-campus visitation programs are required to abide by Massachusetts state law. We acknowledge that Massachusetts law prohibits all use of illegal drugs at any age and prohibits the drinking of alcoholic beverages by persons under 21 years of age. Furthermore, I understand that any negative, disruptive, or illegal behavior during my campus stay will be considered by the Undergraduate Admission Office. Any violation of the rules stated above or any damage to Bentley University property may result in my dismissal from the program and impact my application and acceptance to Bentley University. We also agree to pay for any damage to property attributable to the student participant.
Further, we understand that the student participant and chaperones may be photographed or filmed as this is a campus event. Pictures and video may be used for future promotional materials for Bentley University.
